The Empress of Soul has enjoyed No. 1 hits in Pop, Gospel, R&B and Adult Contemporary, and has triumphed in film, television and live performance. She is a seven-time Grammy winner, including Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “That’s What Friends Are For,” as well as Best Traditional R&B Vocal Album for “At Last,” and participated in the 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars.” This fall marked the release of her first mainstream dance record, “Just A Little” in nearly 20 years.
