Breeches Buoy Rescue Drill Reenactment

Come experience the Life-Saving Station Museum’s PREMIER program! Watch park staff and active-duty Coast Guardsmen reenact the breeches buoy, a system that allowed surfmen to rescue shipwreck victims from shore. Demonstration includes firing the Lyle gun (a small cannon), and a rescue from the “wreck pole”.
